We continue to explore examples of land use and zoning efforts where a lens of equity was front and center. Zoning for Equity in Newport’s North End- 2022 RI Smart Growth Policy Award- A resident led effort earned the unanimous support of the Newport City Council for amendments to the zoning ordinance advancing equity in the development of the City’s Innovation District.
